A Writing and Collage Workshop with Victoria Rabinowe from Santa Fe (Kurssprache Englisch)
Transform the stories of your life into a mythic memoir!
In this inspirational workshop you will create a hand-made concertina book that is folded and cut from one sheet of paper and filled with symbolic imagery and storytelling. Through guided writing techniques, you will transform the emotions, struggles, hardships, and challenges of your life into a metaphoric allegory of struggle and triumph. Your narrative will explore the questions, the promises, and the plagues of your unique path in life. Through found imagery collage you will transpose the people in your life into archetypal Gods, Gurus, Heroes, Devils and Demons.
Your hand-made book will become the container for your illustrated narrative. Through the alchemy of collage combined with creative writing techniques, you will explore the deeper significance of your life’s journey.
Thursday & Friday: Introduction and discussion of mythic archetypes and allegorical storytelling.
Saturday: Guided Writing Exercises
Sunday: Collage and BookMaking.
Voraussetzungen
• Interesse an der Verbindung von Schreiben, Träumen / unconscious landscapes“
• Wir empfehlen den Besuch von „Collage Dream Writing“, „Poetry“ oder „Visual Diary“
• Zumindest passive Englisch-Kenntnisse (Kurssprache & writing prompts in English)
Trainerin: Victoria Rabinowe, amerikanische Künstlerin & Dream Worker mit familiären Wurzeln in Wien, lebt & arbeitet in Santa Fe. Sie hielt über 1000 „The Art of the Dream“-Workshops und ist Autorin & Illustratorin des preisgekrönten Buches „I had the craziest dream last night: Creative Explorations into the Genius of the Night Mind“.
Sprache: Victoria will be speaking and teaching in English, but you can write in Deutsch or any language.
